Andrew Garfield has been surrounded by Spider-Man questions and there is no way he can ignore all of those.
Andrew Garfield In Spider-Man 4?
You’ve probably seen the countless rumors and speculation swirling around the internet about Spider-Man 4 the next film featuring Tom Holland's Spider-Man after No Way Home. Fans are eager to dissect every possible MCU update that could be connected to the fourth Spider-Man movie, which is expected to open the gateway to a new Peter Parker trilogy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Questions about the plot, the movie’s tone, whether it will be set in the Multiverse saga, and what direction it will take have been circulating, but so far, nothing has been confirmed. However, Andrew Garfield, who has been a central figure in one of the rumors, has addressed them and put some to rest.
Andrew Garfield, who played Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man movies, reprised his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire. His return was one of the film's most celebrated moments, and fans have since been wondering if he will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe again. However, recent rumors suggest that Garfield could appear in the fourth solo MCU Spider-Man film.
According to Comic Book Movie the actor has shut down these rumors, stating that fans have been misled by baseless speculation circulating online. "I mean, the internet is a big place. I think there are a lot of people who will say anything to get clicks," Garfield commented. "So, you might have been duped, I'm afraid." This news will surely disappoint fans worldwide.
That said, it's worth taking this with a pinch of salt. Marvel contracts often prevent actors from confirming their involvement in MCU projects. If you recall, Garfield also denied his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home until the very last minute. So, it's possible that he has already signed on and is just keeping it under wraps.
The buzz around Spider-Man 4 intensified further when Disney recently announced its upcoming release schedule for the next two years, leaving a vacant spot in July 2026 for an undisclosed project. Fans quickly did the math and speculated that Spider-Man 4 might occupy that slot. While nothing has been confirmed, the speculation seems plausible, especially in light of new reports suggesting that the film may also be another Multiverse movie.
A new report has surfaced regarding the filming schedule for Spider-Man 4. According to scooper Daniel Richtman, who is known for providing credible industry scoops, Marvel and Sony plan to begin production on Spider-Man 4 next year. While there is no specific timeframe for when filming will commence, it is expected to be in the first half of the year. Richtman also suggested that the movie could hit theaters in July 2026, fitting snugly between Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. If true, this would lend more weight to the rumors that the film will have Multiverse elements.
