Spider-Man 4 Update

The absence of any Spider-Man-related announcements during the San Diego Comic-Con 2024 Hall H event left fans feeling let down. Ever since the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home fans have eagerly awaited news about Spider-Man 4. However, the studios have kept them in suspense, offering only vague comments about the importance of the next installment. Over the past several months, numerous rumors have surfaced, including potential release dates. Now, a new report seems to solidify the theory that the unannounced MCU project in Disney’s July 2026 calendar is indeed the fourth solo film for Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

Spider-Man 4 July 2026 Release Confirmed?

The buzz surrounding Spider-Man 4 intensified when Disney announced its calendar for the next two years, which included a vacancy in July 2026 for an undisclosed project. Fans quickly speculated that this date could be reserved for Spider-Man 4. While nothing has been confirmed, these speculations appear to make sense when considering the bigger picture. New reports even suggest that the studio plans to turn Spider-Man 4 into another multiverse movie.

According to a report by scooper Daniel Richtman, known for providing mostly accurate information, Marvel and Sony are planning to begin production on Spider-Man 4 next year. Although no specific quarter has been mentioned, filming is expected to start in the first half of the year. If this timeline holds, the movie should hit theaters in July 2026, right between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. This also adds weight to the rumor that the film will explore the multiverse once again.

About Spider-Man 4

The script for Tom Holland's fourth solo Spider-Man film has undergone multiple revisions. The latest update suggested that the movie will explore Peter Parker’s PTSD after losing almost everything and everyone he loved. His remaining friends, including MJ, no longer remember him. It was previously said that Peter would turn to vigilantism, which would introduce Daredevil and other underground characters from New York's darker alleys. However, later reports refuted this, indicating that Kingpin would not be involved in the fourth film after all.

In a recent interview with Comic Book Movie, Tom Holland discussed the fourth Spider-Man movie and the importance of getting it right. "We have the best in the business working toward whatever the story might be," Holland said. "But until we’ve cracked it, we have a legacy to protect. The third movie was so special in so many ways that we need to make sure we do the right thing."
