Spider-Man 4 is finally moving forward and not as per rumors but confirmed by Tom Holland who has revealed when he begins filming.
Tom Holland Confirms Spider-Man 4 Shooting Schedule
One of the best things about Tom Holland is how easily he can be nudged into revealing spoilers, even when the studio has asked him to stay tight-lipped. Over the years, he has dropped some significant Marvel Cinematic Universe secrets, resulting in the studio sometimes limiting his interviews to avoid potential leaks. From Captain America: Civil War to Spider-Man 4 it seems nothing has changed. Holland has now confirmed when he will start filming the fourth standalone Spider-Man movie, even though the studio has yet to release any official statement. Thanks to him, we now know when the film will begin production in 2025.
Spider-Man 4 is one of the most highly anticipated films worldwide, and Tom Holland is frequently asked about its development. The film is reportedly being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and is also working on the upcoming Wonder Man TV series. Kevin Feige has confirmed that Jon Watts, the director of the first three Spider-Man films, will not be involved this time. Writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who were credited for the first three films, have returned to pen the fourth. Now, Tom Holland has shared when production will begin.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Holland discussed a range of topics. Naturally, Fallon couldn’t resist asking about Spider-Man 4. The host, like many fans, was eager to get some inside information. As expected, Fallon brought up the fourth standalone MCU Spider-Man film, asking about the rumors surrounding it. Holland, with a smile, replied, “What do you want to know?”
Jimmy Fallon then asked Holland to confirm the status of Spider-Man 4 and the actor went on to reveal when filming would start. “It’s happening,” Holland said. Fallon hugged him in excitement, to which Holland added, “Yeah, next summer—next summer we start shooting. Everything’s good to go, we’re nearly there, super exciting. I can’t wait.”
Recently, news broke that Tom Holland would be starring in a Christopher Nolan film, which would enter production in early 2025. Fans were worried this might delay Spider-Man 4. However, reports suggest that Holland will juggle both the Spider-Man and Avengers: Doomsday projects back to back, meaning he will be balancing work between the MCU and Nolan’s film set without causing delays for either project.
In a recent interview, Holland shared how excited he is about Spider-Man 4 after reading the script. According to Comic Book Movie Holland stated, “I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down, read it together, and at times we were bouncing around the living room.”
