Tom Holland starrer Spider-Man 4 is now not just moving but running at light speed and there is no better feeling for the Marvel fans who have been waiting for this.
Spider-Man 4 Release Date Confirmed
One has to be a superhuman to keep track of every rumor and speculation about the Marvel Cinematic Universe—especially about Spider-Man 4 featuring Tom Holland, which is the wildest and fastest-moving MCU project right now. This film is the fourth in Holland’s solo Spider-Man franchise, which already boasts a successful run of three films. For months, we've been reading speculations about the movie, and it turns out we now finally have some confirmed news. After a multitude of claims and even more theories about the release date, Sony Pictures has now confirmed the July 2026 release date for their yet-untitled fourth Spider-Man movie in association with Marvel Studios.
Ever since the Disney calendar was announced and some release dates were assigned to undisclosed projects, one date garnered the most attention: July 26, 2026. This date sits right between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars and fans were convinced it was reserved for Spider-Man 4, as Peter Parker is a pivotal character in both movies. Now, Sony has confirmed the director and the release date.
According to several media reports, Sony has confirmed that Spider-Man 4 is set for a July 24, 2026 release. The studio has also confirmed that Destin Daniel Cretton of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is directing the movie after Jon Watts’ exit. This means we now have a confirmed release date to look forward to.

Tom Holland appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. While the conversation covered various topics, there was no way Fallon wasn’t going to ask Tom about Spider-Man 4—and of course, he did. Fallon brought up the topic of the fourth standalone MCU film and asked about the rumors. Holland chuckled and asked Fallon, "What do you want to know?"
Jimmy Fallon then asked Tom Holland to confirm the news about Spider-Man 4 and Tom revealed when he begins shooting for it. He said, "It's happening." Fallon celebrated this response, and Holland added, "Yeah, next summer—next summer we start shooting, everything's good to go, we're nearly there, super exciting. I can't wait."
When the news surfaced about Tom Holland joining a Christopher Nolan film, and reports indicated it would enter production in early 2025, fans were concerned this might delay Spider-Man 4. However, the actor has a packed schedule with Marvel, where he reportedly needs to shoot for both Spider-Man 4 and Avengers: Doomsday back-to-back. Reports now suggest that he will be juggling between the MCU set and Nolan's set to shoot both projects without affecting either.
This means he will be seen in Avengers: Doomsday on May 1, 2026, in Christopher Nolan’s untitled movie on July 17, 2026, exactly a week before Spider-Man 4 lands on the big screen on July 24, 2026. If the shooting schedules for all the movies go smoothly, 2026 is Tom Holland’s year, without a doubt. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
