Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios president confirms that the fourth MCU Spider-Man movie is in development
Spider-Man: No Way Home starring Tom Holland, the third MCU Spider-Man movie has hit the theatres and is receiving rave reviews. Reportedly, the fourth MCU Spider-Man movie is in the works.
The New York Times asked Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and 'No Way Home' producer Amy Pascal about the future of a possible fourth movie.
Feige shared, "Amy and I and Disney and Sony are talking about — yes, we’re actively beginning to develop where the story heads next,". He added that he is sharing the news because he didn't want fans to go through separation trauma like what happened after Far From Home.
Sony's plans to build their own universe filled with the wall-crawler and villains like Venom and Morbius had fans in doubt about if Holland would leave the MCU to join Sony.
In an interview in November, Pascal said that the studio would continue the story of Peter Parker which got fans excited. However, she backtracked her words, stating it was just her hope that it happens.
While Feige's words can confirm that a fourth Spider-Man movie is on the way in the near future, questions still surround the movie. Jon Watts, who directed the trilogy, is leaving to work on Fantastic Four, which would call for a new creative team.
But with the way Spider-Man: No Way Home ended, a new trilogy can be expected, that would continue the story of Peter Parker from where it left out.
