Insomniac Games' highly anticipated sequel to Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Spider-Man 2, launched on PlayStation 5 on October 20 and within four days, it has now become the fastest selling game. Hence Insomniac's director of marketing, James Stevenson, has confirmed that a new game plus mode is coming in a future update by the end of 2023.

This new game plus mode allows players to restart the game from the beginning with all of their unlocked abilities and gear from their previous playthrough. This is a popular feature among fans of action-adventure games, as it allows them to experience the game again with a greater sense of power and progression.

Despite the game not currently offering the option to replay missions at launch, James has assured fans that the feature will be added in an update. This addition is particularly exciting for players, who wish to relive the most exciting parts of the game without having to start a new playthrough.

New features for Spider-Man 2 new game plus mode

Among the new features in Spider-Man 2, one is an auto-heal feature that refills Spider-Man's health if his focus bar is maxed out. There's also improved colour contrast to help players perfect their dodges. Digital purchasers will receive the day-one version automatically. Not only Spider-Man 2, even God of War Ragnarök has received some new contents.
