The film is releasing in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi on June 10

When Rakshit Shetty began promotions of his next release, the Kiranraj K debut directorial 777 Charlie, which the actor-filmmaker has produced along with the late GS Gupta under the Paramvah Studios banner, he had said that he was banking of word-of-mouth publicity for the film, way before its official release date, June 10.

Speaking at the trailer launch of the film, Rakshit had said that he was banking of good word-of-mouth publicity in the first few days, for which the team would have as many as 21 premiere shows across the country, even before the film releases officially on June 10. The plan, he added, was to ensure that audiences come to theatres, without fail, on the first three days, from whereon it will then pick up based on word-of-mouth publicity. Rakshit said that he was counting on dog/pet lovers and movie aficionados to watch 777 Charlie in the opening week.

As promised, the schedule of the special premiere shows is out. The team will kick it off with two shows at the Janakpuri Cinepolis in Delhi and one in Amritsar. This will be followed by two shows in Lucknow on June 3. After a quick two-day break, the shows will continue from June 6, which also happens to be leading man Rakshit’s birthday, all the way till the 8th in places like Jaipur, Mumbai, Kochi, Chennai, Pune on June 6 and Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Solapur, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi, and Coimbatore on June 7.

On June 8 it will be in Baroda, Panjim, Kolkota, Vizag and Madurai and on June 9 in Surat. Following this, there will be special paid previews of the film in Karnataka too, online bookings for which have opened now.

777 Charlie, which follows the transformative journey of its protagonist Dharma, after a dog called Charlie comes into his life, also stars Sangeetha Sringeri, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Raj B Shetty, Danish Sait and Bobby Simha. The film has music by Nobin Paul and has been picked up by Voot Select for its digital rights.
