The auction for the inaugural edition of South Africa's T20 league is all set to take place on September 19. Named as the SA20, a total of six franchises are part of the tournament.
The six teams have already been bought by the owners of Indian Premier League (IPL) owners and this league could well be called a 'mini-IPL'.
Talking about the players, the teams were given a choice to make pre-auction picks, with the top set of cricketers already part of major squads.
Not just that, some of the IPL coaches are also associated with their respective teams in SA20.
Talking about the auction, a total of 533 players have been shortlisted but in SA20, a team cannot have more than 17 players on its roster.
