Aishwarya Rajesh, Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli were all spotted cheering for CSK
The team of Aishwarya Rajesh's upcoming film, Soppana Sundari, has been promoting the film in style at the CSK vs RR match, which was held at Chepauk yesterday. The team comprising the lead Aishwarya Rajesh and Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli were seen sporting white T-shirts that sported the film's name. They were seen gleefully posing for pictures. They also seemed to thoroughly enjoy the match as they were later seen wearing the CSK jerseys.
Soppana Sundari is said to be a dark comedy caper and it has an ensemble cast which includes Redin Kingsley, Deepa Shankar, Karunakaran, Sunil Reddy, Augustin and Bjorn Surrao. Going by the teaser and trailer, it looks like the plot revolves around a car that has been won during a lucky draw. However, the original bill of the draw is lost, which leads to everyone staking their own claim in the car.
The film's title is borrowed from a hit comedy scene featuring ace comedians, Goundamani and Senthil, from the 1989 film Karakattakaran. In the film, the comic duo is seen discussing the previous owners of their car, out of which one happens to an actress Soppana Sundari. It looks like the makers have been inspired by the very scene for the title.
The film has music by Ajmal Tahseen and Vishal Chandrasekar scoring the BGM. Balamurugan and Vignesh Rajagopalan have handled the cinematography, while K Sarath Kumar has handled the editing. Balaji Subbu and Vivek Ravichandran have produced the film under the banners of Hamsini Entertainment and Huebox Studios, in association with Ahimsa Entertainment. The film is all set to hit screens tomorrow as a Tamil Puthandu special (April 14).
The digital rights of the film have been bagged by Disney + Hotstar and are likely to drop in the third week of May after the film completes its mandatory four-week window in theatres.
