Soppana Sundari: Makers announce THIS achievement of the Aishwarya Rajesh-starrer ahead of its OTT release

The movie is dropping on Disney+ Hotstar this Friday in five languages

SG Charles' Soppana Sundari, which was released in theatres a month ago, is gearing up for its OTT premiere. The movie, starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead, opened to decent response from critics and cinephiles. Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, Karunakaran and Deepa Shankar among others play notable roles in the movie.

It revolves around a three-member family involving a mother and two daughters who are surprised when they get to know that they have won a car as a gift through a lucky contest. However, due to a few unexpected incidents, they lose claim over the gift. Will they be able to own the vehicle?

The film's plot and some of the sequences received appreciation while the overall screenplay lacked wow moments. The absence of a strong antagonist and logical loopholes spoiled its chance of becoming a wholesome rollicking entertainer. However, makers hope that the film will enjoy a wider audience after its digital premiere.

Soppana Sundari will be dropping on Disney+ Hotstar on May 12 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Ahead of its OTT release, makers have come up with a surprise to escalate hype on the movie.

They have unveiled the 25th day poster of Soppana Sundari featuring a stylish Aishwarya in it. She is all smiles grabbing two tickets of a lucky contest in her hands in the new poster. The black comedy is currently being screened at one theatre in Chennai.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya is getting ready for her next outing, Farhana, which will hit screens this Friday. Directed by Nelson Venkatesan, this is the actress' fourth release in 2023. The trailer of her romantic drama Theera Kaadhal will be out tomorrow evening.
