Sooryavanshi team receives SS Rajamouli’s words of appreciation; Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar react

After many hurdles of the pandemic, the cop-drama will finally be out on November 5, in theatres

Ahead of the most-anticipated Bollywood release Sooryavanshi the epic filmmaker SS Rajamouli on Wednesday penned an appreciation note to the whole team. He took to social media and wished them a grand success. ‘Wholehearted appreciation to the team for holding the film for more than a year and a half to theatre business in these tough times’, wrote him.

The cop-drama helmed by Rohit Shetty stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. After many hurdles of the pandemic, the movie will finally be out on November 5, in theatres. The date has been confirmed after being postponed multiple times since March 2020.

It is for this perseverance, that Rajamouli exchanged his warm words. Producer Karan Johar expressed his gratitude in return and thanked him for his appreciation. ‘Thank you @ssrajamouli, means the world coming from the maverick of cinema himself!’, wrote him back, after retweeting Rajamouli’s note.

Akshay Kumar, who essays the titular role also was euphoric on the wish and took to his social media to thank him back. The actor also mentioned that they are keeping their fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Director Shetty also took a moment to convey his gratitude back to Rajamouli as well.

After Singham, Singham Returns and Simmba, Sooryavanshi is the fourth instalment in Shetty’s cop universe. Besides the stellar lead pair, the movie will also feature Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh who will reprise their previous cop roles from the franchise in extended cameo appearances.

Presented by Reliance Entertainment, the movie is backed by Rohit Shetty Pictures in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.

Meanwhile, Rajamouli is all set for the release of his period drama Rise Roar Revolt (RRR) which will hit theatres on January 7, 2022. The Telugu language film will feature a massive star cast including Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt.
