Soori is gearing up for his film release, Garudan, on May 31. The actor, who started out as a comedian, showed his acting prowess when he played the lead role in Viduthalai. Viduthalai is a duology directed by Vetrimaaran. The film stars Soori in his first serious role as protagonist, in which he plays the role of a rookie cop who is enlisted to capture a wanted revolutionary leader played by Vijay Sethupathi. The second part of the film is scheduled to release this year. Soori’s performance won the actor acclaim from the critics upon the film’s release.
