Sookshmadarshini out on OTT: Directed by MC Jithin, the film follows a woman’s suspicions about her new neighbor, Manuel, and his mysterious past
Sookshmadarshini, the recently released Malayalam film starring Nazriya Fahadh and Basil Joseph in the lead roles which earned good reviews, is now available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The film is available in five languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada with English subtitles.
Malayalam cinema had a fantastic run in 2024, and one of the films that contributed to it is Nazriya Fahadh and Basil Joseph-starrer Sookshmadarshini. The black comedy mystery thriller film is helmed by MC Jithin, and opened to positive talk upon its release.
Those who missed watching the film in theatres, can now stream it on Disney+ Hotstar right now. The film is available in five languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada with English subtitles.
The film’s plot is about a woman named Priyadarshini aka Priya, leading aM happy life with her husband Antony, and their little daughter Kani. She shares a great friendship with the women in her neighborhood. Meanwhile, Manuel, the owner of Grace Bakers, moves into her housing colony with his aging mother, Grace. Even though Manuel becomes the charm for the residents, there is something more to it, and Priya’s suspicions only adds on to this.
Apart from Nazriya and Basil, the film also stars Deepak Parambol, Sidharth Bharathan, Akhila Bhargavan, Pooja Mohanraj, Merin Philip, Manohari Joy, and others in prominent roles. The film is penned by Athul Ramachandran and Libin TB. The technical crew consists of composer Christo Xavier and Sharan Velayudhan cranking the camera. Chaman Chakko handled the editing. Sookshmadarshini is produced by AVA Productions and Happy Hours Entertainment.
Sookshmadarshini got a fantastic rating at OTTplay, with one of our critics praising, “This Basil Joseph and Nazriya Nazim film is a brilliantly crafted and executed film that makes for a gripping suspense thriller that must be watched in theatres.”
