Written and conceptualized by filmmaker Kantha Kannalli, the song has been composed by Sridhar V Sambhram
Over the last few weeks, Kannada music composer Sridhar V Sambhram has been busy putting together a special song. Called Mahanubhaava Neenaya, the song, featuring voices of Sonu Nigam, Vijay Prakash, Kailash Kher and Shankar Mahedevan, is a tribute to the late Puneeth Rajkumar and will be released on March 15 at 8 am.
“Puneeth Rajkumar was a great human being, someone who worked a great deal for the betterment of society, yet never publicized any of his humanitarian work. It is only after his passing that the extent of his social service activities became known. Even in death, he emulated his father and donated his eyes, giving the gift of sight to four people in the process. The song Mahanubhaava Neenaya, written by filmmaker Kantha Kannalli, will explore his exemplary life and highlight his good deeds. Apart from visuals of the singers, we have also used stock footage of Appu sir’s interactions with fans, along with some promotional video content,” says Sridhar.
Tomorrow is also the day that filmmaker Pavan Wadeyar releases a tribute to the late Puneeth with a reworked version of a Natasaarvabhowma song. “That song includes all of Appu sir’s movie names and is very filmi, whereas Mahanubhaava Neenaya is non-filmi and will only highlight the greatness of the man he was,” adds Sridhar.
Taking to social media earlier, Sridhar had written, “Mahanubhaava Neenayya Biggest Tribute to Our Puneet Rajkumar Sir Is on its Way. Composed By Sridhar V Sambhram And Sung by Vijay Prakash Kailash Kher Sonu Nigam Shankar Mahadevan. Produced by Sunil BN , Lyrics By and concept by Kantha kannalli. Will Be dropping the First Track on Sambharam Studios YouTube Channel this 15 th March.”
