Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on June 23, 2024. After being in a relationship for seven years, the couple got married in the presence of their friends and family members. It was an intimate ceremony, which was followed by a grand reception party Bastian - At The Top in Mumbai. A few days after her wedding, Sonakshi penned an emotional note as she had been missing her parents.

Sonakshi Sinha shared a series of photos from her wedding day on social media. The pictures seem to be from her vidaai. The Bollywood actress revealed in her emotional note that her mom Poonam Sinha broke down at the wedding.

"At the wedding Maa started crying when it hit her i would be moving out of the house, i told her “Maa, dont worry… juhu to bandra only 25 mins” Missing them a lil extra today, so I’m telling myself the exact same thing Hope theres Sunday sindhi curry made at home…See you soon… zoom zoom zoom (sic)," the newlywed captioned her post.

Sonakshi Sinha on life after marriage with Zaheer Iqbal

Recently in an interview with Hindustan Times, Sonakshi Sinha opened up about her life after getting married to Zaheer Iqbal. "It's great actually and that's the beauty of it. I was just thinking that nothing much has really changed in my life except that I get to live with my best friend now. And that's the most fun part," the actress said.

She further mentioned that nothing else has changed. Sonakshi believes that is what good relationships do - they don't make you change who you are. Calling her husband Zaheer a lovely person, Sinha added that she is a lucky girl.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonakshi will be seen in Aditya Sarpotdar's movie Kakuda. Also starring Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem, the spooky comedy is scheduled for a digital release on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. It will drop on July 12, 2024.
