Sonakshi will be making her Telugu film debut in a movie starring Nandamuri Balakrishnan.
Sonakshi Sinha's impending arrival in Hyderabad is the talk of the town. The actress will be making her Telugu film debut in a movie starring Nandamuri Balakrishnan while also finishing up her work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi.
Over the past forty years, Nandamuri, now 60, has appeared in more than a hundred movies. Anil Ravipudi will be directing the movie that he intends to release in December.
It's interesting to note that Sonakshi Sinha's first film offer was for Hey Ram, a Tamil movie starring Kamal Haasan.
According to the reports, Sonakshi has almost accepted the role. She has not, however, signed on the dotted line. So, before revealing her name, the makers are awaiting formal confirmation. Sonakshi had previously agreed to sign Balakrishna's movie but changed her mind at the last minute due to some controversies.
The film's shoot will start the following month.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in Double XL which was helmed by Satram Ramani. Sasha Singh and Musassar Aziz wrote the script together for the film. In addition to Sonakshi, Huma Qureshi, Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra played significant roles in the movie. The movie Double XL followed the hardships of two plus-sized women in this unjust society.
On the other hand, Sonakshi has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi in her kitty. Heeramandi, the city's red-light area, is a real location in Pakistan's Walled City of Lahore. The series will highlight the courtesans' dynamic lifestyle. The director's official debut on the digital medium has fans giddy with anticipation. Even while he won't be directing every episode of the series, a few of them will.
