“A memory isn’t simply a thing you have. It’s a promise,” says Academy Award-winner Morgan Freeman’s character in the latest trailer of Amazon Prime Video’s Solos that was released recently.

The upcoming anthology also features Anne Hathaway, Helen Mirren, Uzo Aduba, Nicole Beharie, Anthony Mackie, Dan Stevens and Constance Wu.

The trailer begins with Helen’s character, who is in a spacecraft staring at the endless space. Antony, from Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, is seen in a dual role in the clip, which also shows the characters of Morgan chilling on a sofa at a beach and Hathaway trapped in a room full of lights.

All the characters seem to be connected to each other in different ways, through secret handshakes and memories, in the video that is sure to leave you smiling. Scenes of Constance’s character dressed as a fairy, Anne laughing out loud, Anthony meeting himself and Dan’s character helping out Morgan’s are all sure to leave an indelible mark.

The episodes of Solos are being directed by four different filmmakers including Zach Braff and Tiffany Johnson. While David Weil is marking his directorial debut with the three episodes of the anthology, Sam Taylor-Johnson is serving as director and executive producer for two episodes.

In an official statement, David said, “I am beyond thrilled to be bringing Solos to life alongside this group of artists who I so deeply admire. I created this piece with a desire to capture stories about connection, hope and the search for that common hum of humanity that binds us all.”

No official release date has been announced yet, but Solos is expected to drop in the Summer of 2021.
