Sohini travelled to the US to attend this year’s North American Bengali Conference in Chicago. The actress got back to Kolkata recently. As per our sources, now we know that the couple will be tying the knot on July 15 at a farmhouse outside Kolkata. On July 14, they will reach the destination -- a property in South 24 Parganas.
According to our sources, this will be a registry wedding. Apart from gaye-holud – the morning ritual – there will be no other rituals as of now. It is expected to be a private ceremony with only family members and close friends will be present. It is also expected that the couple will throw a bigger bash in the winter, later this year, for their bigger circle of industry friends.

On July 15, Sohini is expected to wear a traditional Benarasi sari in the colour belonging to the ‘red family’. Shovan will wear a dhuti kurta. With mutton and fish, they will serve Bengali platter to the guests. “There is no biryani,” a source joked.
Sohini and Shovan started dating after they took part in a cultural event hosted by Jisshu U Sengupta last year. Earlier, the Sampurna actress ended her long-term relationship with actor Ranojoy Bishnu. In fact, Shovan’s affair with actress Swastika Dutta also ended by then. The musician and Sohini travelled together to Scandinavian countries and posted photos from there. While they talked about their relationship, they maintained secrecy about their marriage. In fact, both of them were unavailable to take calls made by the media.
