Set against the colourful backdrop of Kerala, Love, Sitara provides an enchanting glimpse into a world where familial ties, secrets, and love all come crashing down. Interior designer Sitara (Sobhita Dhulipala) and chef Arjun (Rajeev Siddhartha), who is enthusiastic about his craft and on the brink of fame on a global scale, are at the core of the plot. Their idyllic relationship takes a dramatic turn when an impromptu proposal interrupts their plans. Warm and fuzzy, this slice-of-life family drama explores the ins and outs of a perfect family, revealing the unfiltered realities that lie behind the surface.

Sobhita plays Tara, a strong and self-reliant lady who, in the midst of her own wedding preparations, deals with the complexity of love and relationships. This is Sobhita's third appearance as Tara; she also played the role in Kaalakaandi (2018) and the lead in the successful series Made in Heaven (2019).

Balancing strength and sensitivity in character

Sobhita stated recently, reacting to the praise her film received, that Sitara to her is a heady mix of strong and sensitive. She is a successful career woman who bravely confronts and ultimately liberates herself from her own deeply rooted behavioural and training patterns. The strength and vulnerability of the women depicted here as protagonists and antagonists is mind-blowing. She made a significant decision to portray a character entirely distinct from her previous roles, and when critics and audiences acknowledge and appreciate this decision, it brings immense motivation and fulfillment. She continued, elaborating on her decision to play such a unique character and expressing her gratitude for the compliments. The actor feels energised and radiant.

Audiences have lauded Sobhita for portraying the spirit of womanhood in all her manifestations, and they also find her portrayal of Tara incredibly realistic. Viewers have embraced Tara's complex journey with genuine emotion, delighting in her multiple roles as a wedding and pregnant lady.
