Elvish’s arrest and eventual bail
Elvish Yadav was arrested in the Snake Venom case on March 17, under Wild Life Protection Act 1972 and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The NDPS act was later waived off citing clerical mistake.
Reportedly, Elvish had admitted to smuggling snake venom in the said party in Noida. He had earlier confessed that Bollywood singer Fazilapuria was the supplier of the snakes. However, his lawyer’s statement suggests that they were just rumours and there was no truth in the same.

They have also been granted bail after paying a fine of Rs. 50,000 each, Elvish’s lawyer confirmed. Five people who were arrested before Elvish are also out on bail.
