Vidyut Jamwal in SK 23

SK 23, the collaborative project between Sivakarthikeyan and director A R Murugadoss, is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated Tamil films. Although the movie is currently in the production stage the latest buzz suggests that Bollywood action star Vidyut Jammwal is set to play the main antagonist in the upcoming action thriller. Although the team is yet to make an official announcement, fans are excited to hear that Vidyut and AR Murugadoss will join hands once again after their blockbuster collaboration in Vijay’s 2012 film Thuppakki.

For the unversed, Vidyut Jammwal starred as the antagonist in AR Murugadoss and Vijay’s action thriller Thuppakki. His role as the leader of a sleeper cell earned him critical acclaim. SK 23 will mark his sophomore collaboration with the popular Tamil filmmaker. Interestingly, SK 23 will also mark the actor’s return to Tamil cinema after a 10-year hiatus. The actor’s last Tamil movie appearance was in Suriya-starrer Anjaan.

Two pan-Indian stars in SK 23?

Not just Vidyut Jammwal, but Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is also likely to make an appearance in the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer. Although an official announcement is awaited, the buzz suggests that the Lucifer actor will be playing a crucial role in the film. Overall, we cannot wait to see the amazing star cast share a frame in this much-anticipated action thriller!

SK 23 set for a Diwali release?

According to earlier reports, SK 23 is likely to be released during Diwali 2024. Sivakarthikeyan is also simultaneously working on another film Amaran, and SK 23 might be released first. Additionally, AR Murugadoss also has his Bollywood project with Salman Khan in the pipeline, and hence, the filmmaker is likely to wrap up the shoot of SK 23 soon so that he can concentrate on his next project.
