The title teaser of SK 21, the upcoming film starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, will be released at 5pm on February 16, ahead of the actor’s birthday, the makers of the film announced on social media on Monday.

The film is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy with the multi-faceted artist and politician Kamal Haasan backing the film under the banner Raaj Kamal Films International.

SK 21 title to be revealed soon

The makers of SK 21 dropped a new update regarding their film on Monday. The title of the film will be revealed on February 16. Captioned with the phrase Hearts on Fire, the makers released a glimpse of Sivakarthikeyan prepping up for his role physically. He is seen building his physique, while also practise shooting.

Produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, SK 21 is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy who previously made Rangoon in his directorial debut. Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, and Lallu also appear in significant roles. Rumours suggest a key cameo by Kamal Haasan, awaiting official confirmation.

What else do we know about SK 21?

Sai Pallavi plays the female lead, marking her first-time collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. SK 21 has music by GV Prakash. The cinematography for the film will be handled by Ch Sai, with R Kalaivanan as the editor. The film's post theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix. However, a release date for the film is yet to be announced.

In SK 21, Sivakarthikeyan is expected to play an army officer and perform high-octane stunt sequences. The film reportedly draws inspiration from the non-fiction book India’s Most Fearless: True Stories Of Modern Military Heroes, depicting real-life challenges faced by Indian soldiers, including the 2016 surgical strikes.

Sivakarthikeyan to work with AR Murugadoss next

The actor is also set to work with AR Murugadoss for a film tentatively titled SK 23. The makers are expected to drop some update regarding the project on the actor’s birthday. While Mrunal Thakur is expected to play the female lead, Sivakarthikeyan had earlier said that it will be a proper mass-entertainer with a lot of scope for performance.
