The film is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy and bankrolled by Kamal Haasan
It looks like the first schedule of the shoot for Sivakarthikeyan's next with Sai Pallavi has been wrapped up in Kashmir. The film, which is helmed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, is bankolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. GV Prakash is scoring the music. During a recent interview during the promotions of his recent flick, Adiyae, GV Prakash had spilled the beans that SK 21 was a war film and that it is being made on a grand budget.
Sivakarthikeyan, too, has been constantly wearing a cap to hide his hairdo that he is sporting in the film. The actor is said to be playing an Army official, though there has been no confirmation on the same. It was not long ago that a picture of Sivakarthikeyan sporting a six-pack got leaked on social media.
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in Maaveeran, which was a part-fantasy film and it set the cash registers ringing at the box office. The film, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Madonne Ashwin, had Sivakarthikeyan playing a timid cartoonist, who one day receives a unique power which changes his life forever. The star cast includes Sivakarthikeyan, Aditi Shankar, Mysskin, Saritha, Sunil, Yogi Babu along with the voiceover of Vijay Sethupathi.
The actor is now gearing up for the release of his sci-fi flick Ayalaan. The film, which is directed by Ravi Kumar, has Rakul Preet Singh playing the leading lady. Isha Koppikar makes a comeback in Tamil with the film and the remaining supporting cast includes Sharad Kelkar and Yogi Babu.
Music is by AR Rahman, cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Ruben. This is Sivakarthikeyan's first pan-Indian film and the project is bankrolled by Kotapadi J Rajesh under the banner of KJR Studios. Ayalaan, which has been lying in the cans for a while, is slated to hit screens for Deepavali.
