Tollywood filmmaker Anudeep KV has directed the movie
The first look of Prince
It was announced a few days ago that Sivakarthikeyan's SK 20 (tentative title) directed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) fame will have a theatrical release on August 31. The makers have now revealed the first look and title of the project.
True to speculations that did the rounds on social media, the film has been titled Prince. The poster features Siva, who sports an all-white outfit, seen smiling as he holds a world globe in his left hand. An image of a world map is also seen in the background.
Billed as a fun-filled entertainer, the film is said to have Siva playing the role of a tourist guide. Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka essays the female lead in the movie which has Sathyaraj and Premgi Amaren among others playing significant characters in it.
Thaman has been brought on board to compose music for the film; this is the first time the musician is joining hands with Siva. Manoj Paramahamsa has handled cinematography for Prince which has editing by Praveen KL. Suresh Babu, Narayan Das K Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao have jointly bankrolled the movie under Suresh Productions, Sree Venkateswara Creations and Shanthi Talkies respectively.
The film will have a box office clash with Muthaiah's Karthi-starrer Viruman; both Siva and Karthi had a BO clash in 2019, too. The former's Hero (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) and the latter's Thambi (streaming on Netflix) were released on December 20.
Prince is Siva's second release this year. His Don, which was released on May 13, will drop on Netflix tomorrow. If everything goes well, he might have one more release in 2022. Ayalaan and Maveeran are his upcoming films on which fans have pinned high hopes on.
