Radha Mohan's Bommai, which was wrapped up more than three years ago, has been lying in the cans since then. The makers have finally announced its release as June 16. SJ Suryah, who plays the lead in the movie, has pinned high hopes on it and is also one of its producers.

At the press meet of the project which was held the other day, the actor-filmmaker reminisced about his journey and spoke about how he lost his money when he was a producer several years ago which led to him staying away from the limelight for sometime.

He narrated in brief how a junior artist went on to become a director and an actor, then saved money and lost it when he became a producer. After scoring success with Iraivi in his second innings, he recollected how projects like Spyder, Mersal and Monster helped him to score a comeback.

Suryah said he had decided not to make the mistake of becoming a producer again. However, he confessed he couldn't control the urge to invest when Radha Mohan came up with Bommai a few years ago. He also revealed his disappointment when his movie with Amitabh Bachchan got stalled.

Suryah added, "I lead a simple life, I have always invested whatever I had earned through cinema in cinema itself. It was my gut feeling which made me one of the producers of Bommai. I am looking forward to its release."
