Taika Waititi's 'Next Goal Wins' delayed

Taika Waititi’s highly anticipated sports film Next Goal Wins has been further delayed. The film began production in 2019 and was initially delayed due to the pandemic. It was set to release on September 9, but has been pushed to November 17. The film is based on real events about the American Samoa football team who suffered the worst defeat in international football history after losing 31-0 to Australia. Michael Fassbender plays the lead as a struggling football coach who is hired to galvanise the team before the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers.

Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal's film title announced

The highly anticipated Vicky Kaushal And Sara Ali Khan film has finally received its title. The Laxman Utekar directorial has been titled Zara Hatke Zara Bach Ke and the romantic comedy is scheduled to release later this year.

‘Harry Potter’ series officially confirmed by WB

Last week, it was reported that WB was considering adapting the Harry Potter franchise into a TV series, with seven seasons for each of the seven books. Warner Bros. Discovery has officially greenlit the project. A teaser clip was also released with the series title and the iconic Harry Potter score from the films. The series will be available on the newly rebranded HBO Max streaming platform, which will merge with Discovery+ and will be called Max.

A new Game of Thrones spin-off is in the works

After the success of House of the Dragon, HBO is set to release another Game of Thrones spinoff. The new series is titled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge, and it will be a prequel based on George R.R. Martin’s books Dunk and Egg. The plot will explore the fabled adventures of Sir Ser Duncan the Tall aka Dunk and young Aegon V Targaryen who goes by the name of Egg. The story will be set 90 years before the events of A Song of Ice Fire.

New 'Big Bang Theory’ series in the works

WB has also announced that The Big Bang Theory co-creator Chuck Lorre will produce another spinoff series. Lorre is also credited with the prequel series Young Sheldon, which revolves around the formative years of a young Sheldon Cooper, who was played by Jim Parsons in The Big Bang Theory. Plot details regarding the show have been kept under wraps, but it is said to feature new characters, with the original cast to appear in guest roles.

Billy Magnussen to star in Lilo & Stitch live-action remake

Disney recently greenlit a live-action adaptation of the popular animated series Lilo & Stitch. No Time to Die star Billy Magnussen has joined the cast along with Zach Galifianakis and Maia Kealoha. The film will be directed by Marcel the Shell With Shoes On director Dean Fleischer Camp. The plot revolves around a young girl named Lilo in Hawaii and her friendship with an alien creature named Stitch, who has escaped from an intergalactic prison.
