J J Abrams has been roped in to helm the project, and the filmmaker has provided an update on the adaptation. Abrams has revealed that the film will be emotional, grounded, and gritty and based on a script by Dalton Leeb and Nicholas Jacobson-Larson. Daniel Radcliffe addresses his involvement in the ‘Harry Potter’ TV reboot

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has finally addressed the most pressing question that Potterheads have been keen to know: Will he feature in the Warner Bros’ television reboot of the Harry Potter franchise? The British actor confirmed that the reboot will be a fresh take on the wizard’s story and does not believe that the new creators would want a cameo from the old Harry Potter. Despite announcing the project earlier this year, WB are yet to provide further details regarding the TV series. While this may disappoint Radcliffe fans, Potterheads will be keen to know more details about the project and perhaps, a tentative release date.

New 'Chronicles of Narnia' films to be helmed by Barbie director Greta Gerwig

Barbie director Greta Gerwig has signed a deal with Netflix to helm two Chronicles of Narnia films for the streaming platform. Netflix has ambitious plans for the films based on C S Lewis’ novels and to turn it into one of their biggest franchises on the platform. James Gunn announces that DC will skip San Diego Comic-Con

DC Films’ co-head James Gunn has hinted that the studio will join other major studios such as Disney, Marvel, Lucas Films, and Sony in skipping this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The ongoing writer’s strike has been a major factor in studios deciding against participating in the SDCC this year. The event though could’ve offered an ideal opportunity for Gunn to showcase his plans for the new DCU. The box-office failures of the Shazam sequel and The Flash, and the lack of transparency surrounding the reboot have left fans frustrated. Warner Bros are yet to officially announce whether they are sitting out this year’s SDCC. DC’s next major release is Blue Beetle which is scheduled to release on 18th August 2023.
