Allu Arjun to star in a new pan India film

Pushpa star Allu Arjun is gearing up for his next pan India release according to reports. The Telugu superstar has put pen to paper to headline Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo director Trivikram’s next project. The news comes after Arjun reportedly turned down the offer to star in Aditya Dhar’s VFX-heavy The Immortal Ashwatthama. The film is expected to be an entertainer and the production will commence once Arjun has wrapped filming for Pushpa 2: The Rise, which is scheduled for a 2024 release.

Varun Dhawan to star in Atlee Kumar’s next film

Bollywood star Varun Dhawan is set to star in Atlee’s Next film. The untitled action-entertainer will be produced by Cine1 Studios and A For Apple Studios and is scheduled to release on May 31 2024. Atlee’s next big release is the highly anticipated film Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, while Dhawan is currently working on the Indian remake of the Prime Video original series Citadel.

‘The Diplomat’ starring John Abraham announces release date

John Abraham’s next big-budget venture The Diplomat has announced its release date. The film is based on a true story and promises to be an intense drama. Abraham will essay the role of the titular character, a high-ranking bureaucrat, and the Shivam Nair directorial is set for January 11, 2024, release.

Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny opens with a lacklustre opening

The summer of lacklustre blockbusters continues as the Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny is the latest film to receive a lukewarm reception at the global box offices. The film follows The Flash, Elemental,  and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts with its underwhelming box-office collection. The Harrison Ford film has raked in $130 million globally but remains well short of its expected gross for its opening weekend. The film reportedly has a production budget of $195 million, excluding marketing costs, and it is expected to struggle in the coming weeks as Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Barbie, and Oppenhimer are scheduled to release in July.

Original 'One Piece' voice actors join the cast of live-action adaptation

The highly anticipated live-action adaptation of One Piece has announced surprise additions to its cast. The original Japanese voice actors of the hit anime will reprise their roles for the Japanese dub of the new series. The news was announced by the new live-action cast at the Anime Expo LA. The series will premiere on Netflix on 31 August 2023.

Apple TV+ cancels dark comedy 'High Desert'

Apple TV+ has announced that the dark comedy series High Desert, starring Patricia Arquette and Bernadette Peters has been cancelled.  Fans of the series will be disappointed considering session one ended on a cliffhanger. Helmed by Nancy Fichman, Katie Ford, and Jennifer Hoppe, the series also stars Matt Dillon, Rupert Friend, and Brad Garrett among others in prominent roles.
