Best known for his quirky voice work as Doctor Phosphorus in Creature Commandos and Clayface in Harley Quinn Tudyk’s mystery role in this already star-studded film is sure to cause a stir. The film’s wrapped production, and Gunn’s team doesn’t expect many reshoots—so it’s full steam ahead for this highly anticipated blockbuster which will hit cinemas on July 11, 2025!

Madelaine Petsch's new rom-com ‘Maintenance Required’ adds stars to the mix

Rom-com lovers, you’re in for a treat! Katy O'Brian (best known for Love Lies Bleeding) and Madison Bailey (of Outer Banks fame) are joining Madelaine Petsch in Maintenance Required where Petsch’s character runs an all-female mechanic shop. Expect sparks—both romantic and otherwise—as her character unknowingly seeks advice from a rival, played by Jacob Scipio. It’s got all the charm of You’ve Got Mail with the added twist of grease-stained overalls! Currently filming, so keep your eyes peeled for this one.

'Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story' set for worldwide release

If documentaries are more your thing, you’re in luck. After earning rave reviews and a whopping, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story an emotional tribute to the iconic Superman actor is heading for a global release on October 11. Directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, this film dives deep into Reeve’s life, his tragic accident, and his legacy as an advocate for disability rights.

Expect jaw-dropping stunts and high-octane action when this hits screens. No release date yet, but while you wait, you can always catch Hemsworth in Transformers One, now playing in cinemas!

Mel Gibson's double trouble: Directing ‘Lethal Weapon 5’ and ‘Passion of the Christ’ sequel

Mel Gibson is back in the director’s chair with not one but two massive projects: Lethal Weapon 5 and a sequel to The Passion of the Christ. Gibson's taking on the legacy of Lethal Weapon as a tribute to the late Richard Donner, while still managing to balance the colossal task of bringing a Passion sequel to life. Gibson admits it’s a “crapshoot” which will hit theatres first, but whichever comes out, you can expect fireworks!

Idris Elba takes the helm in A24’s ‘Things Fall Apart’

For literature lovers, here’s a treat—Idris Elba is stepping into the role of Okonkwo in A24’s adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart. Not only is Elba starring in the series, but he’s also on board as an executive producer. The series will explore the clash between tradition and colonialism, with Okonkwo at the heart of it. No word on a release date yet, but this one’s bound to make waves.

Netflix's ‘One Piece’ season 2: Nico Robin sets sail

And finally, for all you One Piece fans, Netflix has cast Lera Abova as Nico Robin for season two! As the show sails into the Arabasta Saga Abova promises to bring a heartfelt portrayal of Miss All Sunday, the archaeologist with a mysterious past. Filming is already underway in Cape Town, and with a planned 2025 release, it’s full steam ahead!
