Over the past year, Telugu content on OTT platforms has gained significant attention. The next in line is a heartwarming series titled Sivarapalli, featuring Rag Mayur in the lead role. This slice-of-life drama, made on a modest budget, consists of eight episodes and will be available for streaming on January 24, 2025.

Amazon Prime Video recently unveiled the trailer for the series, which narrates a fun-filled and simple story about a young man who dreams of going to the US but instead finds himself in the remote village of Sivarapalli. Caught up in the local politics of the small town, the series revolves around how he navigates these challenges.

Directed by Bhaskhar Maurya, Sivarapalli showcases Rag Mayur in an entirely new avatar. Playing a government employee, he effortlessly brings out humor with his straight-faced expressions. Written by Shanmukha Prasanth, the series also features Muralidhar Goud, Rupa Lakshmi, Uday Gurrala, Sunny Palle, and Pavani Karanam in key roles.

Amazon Prime Video has announced that Sivarapalli will stream in nearly 240 countries, available in Telugu with English subtitles. Rag Mayur, last seen in Keedaa Cola directed by Tharun Bhascker, has been striving to establish himself in the industry for years and is pinning high hopes on Sivarapalli. Produced under The Viral Fever banner, the series highlights universal themes of human connection, perseverance, and finding joy in life’s simpler moments.

Despite its low budget, Sivarapalli boasts strong technical values, and the emotional depth, particularly in the concluding episodes, is expected to leave a lasting impression, according to the makers. The transformation of Rag Mayur’s character is said to be a highlight of the series.
