The second single Jessica from Sivakarthikeyan's Prince has grabbed a lot of attention
A still from Prince
The second single from Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming bilingual (Tamil and Telugu), Prince, was released recently. The single titled Jessica has lyrics by Therukural Arivu and has been sung by the film's composer Thaman. The video, which was released recently, has Sivakarthikeyan dancing in gay abandon in Pondicherry. Thaman, too, makes an appearance in a car as he renders the line, "Humpty Dumpty From The Child To My Heart'.
The backdrop looks colourful and gives out some happy vibes. The Telugu version of the song has lyrics by Saraswati Putra Ramajogayya Sastry and the Telugu version, too, has been sung by Thaman. Though the song was supposed to be out at 5.30pm, the release got delayed and the song was eventually released at 9.15pm.
The first single Bimpilikki Bilappi, too, was a peppy number and had become a hit among the fans. Interestingly, this is the first time that Thaman is composing for a Sivakarthikeyan film. Prince is directed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame and marks the debut of Ukrainian model Maria Riaboshapka in the Tamil film industry. The film has been shot across Chennai, Pondicherry, and Hyderabad, and post production is in full swing. Prince is gearing up for the release on Diwali.
Interestingly, this will be the first bilingual film for Sivakarthikeyan. Editing is handled by Praveen KL and cinematography is by GK Vishnu. The film has been jointly bankrolled by Suniel Narang, D Suresh Babu and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao. The film will clash with Karthi's Sardar which will also have a Diwali release.
In the meantime, Sivakarthikeyan has begun work on his next flick Maveeran, another bilingual film directed by National Award-winning director Ashwin Madonne (of Mandela fame). The title announcement of the film was released by Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and the shoot is in full swing.
