Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai premiered on Zee5 on May 23 to favourable reviews.
Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, which is a courtroom drama, is directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and written by Deepak Kingrani. It is based on the true story of an influential and once-respected Indian religious figure who is currently serving a life sentence in prison for the rape of a minor. As the prosecution attorney up against a phalanx of well-known attorneys, Manoj Bajpayee portrays the prosecutor.
The movie Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is not your typical Bollywood drama. It has no typical masala that Hindi films are expected to have because it is a slow-burn courtroom drama without any songs. Now, the creative producer of the film Suparn S Varma talks about how involved was Manoj Bajpayee in the scripting stage and what difference will viewers see from him in Bandaa. He says, "Manoj is a friend, mentor, brother, collaborator, it’s a friendship that has been for almost 18 years now. We have worked together in the past; we are working now and it's always special to work together. Manoj has a brilliantly creative mind and to have him on set, behind the scenes and on camera is an absolute blessing."
The producer adds, "He is one of the greatest collaborators you can have. Manoj heard the scripts because we did 18 drafts and he always had ideas, thoughts about his character which we incorporated. So, it was all part of the process, it's teamwork after all. The viewers have never seen him as a lawyer, they will see a very different side to him. He has created a character from scratch, which is amazing, and you will see that when you see the film. You will see a different kind of fierceness, honesty, and truth in this character of P.C. Solanki."
Adrija, Surya Mohan Kulshrestha, Vipin Sharma, Jai Hind Kumar, and Durga Sharma are among the other cast members of Apoorv Singh Karki's film Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. The movie premiered on Zee5 on May 23 to favourable reviews.
