The upcoming film stars Michael Urie and Philemon Chambers in pivotal roles
Christmas themed rom-coms have been a staple of the holiday season for years. With its new film, Netflix looks to continue the tradition. The streaming giant dropped the trailer for Single All the Way a story of a man home for the holidays desperate to find love.
The trailer opens with a man, Peter, lamenting on how his family would always complain of his ‘single’ status when he goes home for the holidays. To avoid his family’s complaints, he suggests that his friend and roommate, Nick, pretend to be his partner and accompany him to his family home, as his family were already keen on the two of them being together. But things do not go as planned.
Once there, his family set him up on a blind date with a charismatic man. The rest of the trailer follows Peter and Nick as they grapple with their feelings for each other; each afraid to confess their love in fear of ruining their friendship. But as in every holiday movie, they are nudged towards each other with the help of a loving and supportive family.
Single All the Way stars Michael Urie, Philemon Chambers, Kathy Najimy, Luke Macfarlane, Jennifer Coolidge, Barry Bostwick, and Jennifer Robertson in pivotal roles. The romantic comedy is directed by Michael Mayer, from a script written by Chad Hodge.
