Singer KK's children Nakul and Taamara recreate father's iconic track 'Yaaron'; Shaan, Papon, and others join in on the tribute

Singer KK might have left us but his charm and impact as an artist will linger on forever. His most popular hits are hummed with even more gusto today, especially by the '90s generation who resonate strongly with the lyrics and underlying sentiments of his songs. And with the friendship day just around the corner, the song Yaaron is the perfect expression of the bonhomie and love among friends, so much so that the track has attained an anthem-like quality over the past couple of decades.

And in this very spirit, singer KK’s two children Nakul and Taamara have come together to produce a new rendition of Yaaron ahead of Friendship Day. And in this very spirit, singer KK’s two children Nakul and Taamara have come together to produce a new rendition of Yaaron ahead of Friendship Day. “I think it was one of the first times me and @nakul.krishna.music have sung together, wish dad was there singing with us. ❤️🥺” wrote Taamara Krishna in her emotional post as she shared a glimpse of the latest recording via Instagram. Interestingly, KK had recorded Yaaron around the same time of the year about 24 years ago!

“I really appreciate everyone who sang and was part of this with us and love how this turned out, hope you guys love it too. It’s always about love and friendship,” wrote Nakul Krishna in his Instagram post.

Both Taamara and Nakul have taken to social media time and again to express their grief, share endearing memories of their father, and also speak of the singer’s impeccable musical talent. The two recently held a special tribute concert for KK on July 23.

Yaaron, the song, was first recorded in 1999 as part of KK’s landmark debut album Pal, one of the first released by Sony in India. The album was composed, produced, and arranged by Leslie Lewis with lyrics written by Mehboob: the songs Pyaar ke Pal, Aap Ki Dua, and others too have achieved cult status over the years.
