Simbaa trailer: Anasuya Bharadwaj's intense avatar comes with a strong message

The Telugu film Simbaa stars Jagapathi Babu, Divi, and Anausya Bhardwaj in lead roles. Produced by director Sampath Nandi, the thriller will hit theatres on August 9, 2024.

After a long gap, popular actress Anasuya Bharadwaj is headlining a film. Titled Simbaa, the supernatural thriller also stars Jagapathi Babu and Divi Vadhata in lead roles. The makers released the trailer for the film today and it showcases Anasuya in a character-driven and powerful role.

Murali Manohar Reddy has directed Simbaa, which is based on the deaths that result from air pollution. Popular directors Sampath Nandi and Dasari Rajendra Reddy, under the banners of Sampath Nandi Team Works and Raj Dasari Productions, have produced the film on a decent budget.

Anasuya is seen in the role of a teacher who becomes a prime suspect in a series of murders in Hyderabad. She plays one of the leads in Simbaa and has a strong role as a teacher who battles all odds to prove her innocence. Anasuya is shown in an emotional avatar in this film and once her character undergoes a transformation, she is seen fighting the goons in a mass avatar.

Jagapathi Babu has a meaty role in Simbaa and senior actress Gautami plays a doctor in the movie. The trailer also gives a hint at some supernatural elements in the film. Speaking about Simbaa, Anasuya says that the message given in the film to save the environment and the way it has added elements of thrills make it super special.

"After a long gap, I have a solid role to showcase my acting prowess," says Anasuya. With the trailer, the makers have also revealed that Simbaa will hit screens on August 9, 2024. Sampath Nandi, the popular director, has also penned the story and produced this film, and he says that there is a solid message that has been conveyed in a very interesting manner.

Krishna Surabh has composed the music for this film, which has camerawork by Krishna Prasad. Well, the role of Anasuya looks interesting, but the rest of the trailer is just about okay. We need to see how the film fares when it comes out on August 9, 2024. Watch this space for more updates.
