If the film takes off, this will be the first time that Simbu will be teaming up with Murugadoss
If the buzz in the industry is to go by, Silambarasan TR is likely to do a film with AR Murugadoss. It seems that the Ghajini director has narrated a multilingual story to the actor and that Silambarasan has liked the plot. However, there is no confirmation of the project. If it indeed kicks off, this will be the first time that Murugadoss will be teaming up with Silambarasan.
Silambarasan had shared yesterday that he had completed dubbing for his portions in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. The film, directed by Gautham Menon, is said to be an action drama and has Siddhi Idnani playing the leading lady. Silambarasan will be seen in a rustic avatar in the film, and the actor has shed 15 kilos for his role in it. The supporting cast includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Siddique, Neeraj Madhav and Aangelina Abraham. Music for the film is by AR Rahman. Cinematography is by Siddhartha Nuni and editing is by Anthony. The film will hit screens on September 15.
In the meantime, Silambarasan has also resumed work on his long-delayed Pathu Thala, directed by Obeli N Krishna. The film, which is a remake of the Kannada film, Mufti, which has Shivraj Kumar in the lead and was directed by debutant Narthan. Though the team has canned majority of the portions, the parts with Silambarasan remain incomplete. Now, we hear that the actor has kickstarted the remaining work in Mysore and will be soon wrapping up his portions, too. He will be sharing screen space with Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the film.
The shoot was put on hold as the actor had to rush to the US to take care of his father T Rajendher's medical treatment. Doctors had detected bleeding in TR's stomach and had advised advanced medical procedure to treat the same.
