The Pathu Thala actor was the cynosure of all eyes at the concert, which was packed to the rafters
It looks like Silambarasan TR stole the show at the recently held Yuvan Shankar Raja concert in Malaysia. The actor not only had the audience eating out of his hands as her performed live on the occasion, but he had them in thunderous applause as well. His high-octane songs included Loose Penne and Thathai Thathai, to name a few.
His performances were such a hit that people asked for a standalone concert of Silambarasan thereafter. Meanwhile, there has been a rising demand for a standalone concert of Silambarasan in Chennai.
And that's not all. The actor also had a special gift for his die-hard fans. While giving his shades to one, he also threw his jacket to the audience and a lady in the audience got hold of it.
On the film front, Silambarasan is all set to be seen next in STR 48, which will be helmed by Desingh Periyasamy of Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal fame. The film will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. STR had uploaded a picture with Kamal Haasan in which he thanked the Ulaganayagan for his gesture.
The shoot is yet to begin for the project. He is also likely to star in Corona Kumar, which has been lying in the cans for a while now. However, there has been no update about the same.
Silambarasan TR was last seen in Pathu Thala, which was helmed by Obeli Krishna. The film was the remake of the neo-noir Kannada film Mufti that had Shiva Rajkumar, Sriimurali and Shanvi Srivastava as part of the star cast. Mufti was directed by debutant Narthan.
The Tamil version had Silambarasan playing the gangster AGR and teaming up with Gautham Karthik for the first time. The star cast comprised Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Karthik, Teejay Arunasalam. Anu Sithara, Madhu Guruswamy in supporting roles. The film opened to positive reviews from the critics and audience.
