Silambarasan to drop a major update on STR 48 soon; this crew member makes a revelation

STR 48, the 48th project of Silambarasan, has been delayed due to unexpected some major changes in its production team. However, a major update on the film is expected to be out soon.

STR 48 is set to release in two parts

Silambarasan is currently busy with some promising projects in his kitty. The actor-filmmaker announced his 48th film, which is tentatively titled STR 48, in 2023. However, the long-awaited project, which was expected to be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan’s home banner Raaj Kamal Films International was delayed due to some major changes in its production. However, art director SS Moorthy recently made an exciting revelation about STR 48, much to the excitement of the Silambasaran fans.

Silambarasan to make a major announcement on STR 48

In a recent interview with a leading Tamil online media, art director SS Moorthy, who is currently working with director Desingh Periyasamy and his team on STR 48 made some exciting revelations about the highly anticipated project. According to the art director, the filmmaker and his team are busy designing a miniature concept art that comes along the lines of Baahubali, for the upcoming Silambarasan-starrer. Around 70 percent of the concept art has been finished so far.

SS Moorthy, who confirmed that STR 48 is an out-and-out historical fantasy film, stated that it is going to be a milestone project in Indian cinema. The senior technician also revealed that leading man Silambarasan and his team are planning to make a major announcement on the long-delayed project, very soon. In that case, the Simbu fans and Tamil cine-goers can expect an official announcement on the shoot commencement of STR 48, by the Independence weekend in August 2024.

STR 48 production banner changed?

Kamal Haasan was supposed to bankroll the untitled Desingh Periyasamy film, under the banner RKFI. However, the grapevine suggests that the banner decided to quit the Desingh Periyasamy directorial due to funding issues. Later, it was also reported that leading man Silambarasan is planning to produce STR 48 himself, under his home production Atman Productions. However, the makers have not reacted to these reports yet. The speculations on the same are expected to end with the upcoming official update on the project, which will be out in a few days.
