Silambarasan
Silambarasan has been undergoing physical training in Thailand for some time. The actor is gearing up for the release of Pathu Thala, his first outing which has been helmed by Obeli N Krishna. The gangster drama, which is an adaptation of Sandalwood flick Mufti, will hit the screens on March 30.
The makers have planned a grand audio launch of the project on March 18, and many celebs are likely to attend the event, including Suriya. KE Gnanavel's Studio Green has bankrolled the movie which has the actor playing AGR, a don who turns out to be the messiah for a group of underprivileged people.
The star has now returned to Chennai and a picture of him from a swanky van has been doing the rounds on social media. He has sported a long hair and is clad in black outfit coupled with white pair of shoes. He has lost oodles of weight and his makeover reminds us of his appearance a decade-and-a-half ago.
His next project, STR 48 (tentative title), is with Desingh Periyasamy and fans hope that the stylish appearance is for the untitled film to be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International.
Pathu Thala stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Karthik, Kalaiyarasan and Teejay Arunasalam in pivotal roles. AR Rahman's music is expected to be one of the highlights of the movie which has cinematography by Farook J Basha and editing by Praveen KL.
The team had unveiled a couple of songs from the film recently and fans of Rahman are pleased with the tracks. The legendary musician is expected to perform live songs at the audio launch.
