Silambarasan, the popular actor is currently going through an excellent phase in his acting career. Simbu has a massive line-up of projects in his kitty, including Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life, STR48 directed by Desingh Periyasamy, and many more. The talented actor, who was recently spotted at the Chennai airport, addressed the media and spoke about both Thug Life and STR48. Silambarasan also addressed the ‘red card’ rumours that are doing rounds on social media, during the chat.

The multi-faceted talent, who returned to Chennai to attend the grand audio launch event of Indian 2 was spotted flaunting his Thug Life get-up. Silambarasan is seen in a unique look with a mini ponytail, ear studs, and light stubble, as he was spotted at the airport. When the media representatives asked Simbu about his pan-India projects, the actor confirmed that both Thug Life and STR48 belong to that genre. Simbu added that he is extremely happy to be a part of both films.

Simbu rubbishes ‘red card’ rumours

For the uninitiated, earlier it was rumoured that Silambarasan received a ‘red card’ from the Tamil Producers Association, for misconduct and unprofessionalism. The ‘red card’ was reportedly issued to prevent the actor from working in films until his issue with the producers of Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asaradhavan, and his long-delayed film Corona Kumar are resolved. It was reported that along with the Maanadu actor, a few other famous stars of Tamil cinema, including Dhanush, Vishal, and Atharvaa also received the ‘red card’ from the Producers’ Association.

However, in his recent chat with the media, Silambarasan rubbished the rumours and confirmed that he had not received a ‘red card’ from the Tamil Producers Association. The multi-faceted talent, who admitted that there were some issues between him and the makers of the film mentioned above, further added that those were resolved after detailed discussions. Simbu also added that the reports of his receiving a ‘red card’ from the association are totally baseless, thus ending the rumours.
