The trailer of Neeraj Pandey’s highly anticipated heist thriller titled Sikandar Ka Muqaddar was unveiled today (November 11). The upcoming film is all set for its direct-to-OTT release on streaming giant Netflix. It stars Jimmy Shergill, Avinash Tiwary, and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead. At the trailer launch event held in Mumbai, the actors and director spoke about their work experience. Jimmy Sheirgill also revealed how he became comfortable with Neeraj Pandey, as it marks his fourth collaboration with him.
Backed by Friday Storytellers, the movie is a riveting tale of a police officer's relentless pursuit to investigate a tricky diamond heist.
Jimmy Sheirgill on working with Neeraj Pandey
Neeraj Pandey and Jimmy Sheirgill have teamed up for the fourth time. The director-actor duo has previously worked in crime thrillers like A Wednesday and Special 26. Recently, they also collaborated on the romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. At today’s trailer launch event of Sikander Ka Muqaddar, Jimmy opened up about the benefits of working with a known filmmaker. He also explained how an actor gets into a comfort zone when he reteams on another venture after a few previous collaborations while reflecting on the ‘fun element'.
Sheirgill plays investigating officer Haswinder Singh, who chases the suspects with his wit and deduction skills. During the conversation, the Tanu Weds Manu actor revealed that since he has already worked in more than three films with Pandey, he can understand what exactly he wants to shoot without saying much about the scene.

“I think jab aap ek film karte ho ek director ke sath and jab tak woh khatam hoti hai aap samjhna shuru karte ho. Dusri film se samajhne aane lagta hai, aur teesri aur chauthi ke paas aesa ho jata hai ki bolne ki zaroorat nhi padhti, woh automatically samjh jata hai like actor or anyone. So today, when he gave this script to me, I understand exactly in my head how he wants to shoot it and that is the fun of it like when you work with someone over the years,” Jimmy Sheirgill said in the event.

Netflix’s latest thriller drama film Sikander Ka Muqaddar is gearing up for its digital premiere on November 29. Set in 2008, this gritty thriller follows a police officer’s quest to solve a diamond heist at an exhibition. Apart from Jimmy, the movie also features Tamannaah Bhatia, Avinash Tiwary, and Rajiv Mehta.
Sharing the trailer, Netflix wrote, "Kaun hai masoom, kaun hai mujrim, aur kiski moolvriti hai sabse shaatir? Watch Sikandar ka Muqaddar, out 29 November, only on Netflix."
