Today, the opening ceremony of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024, taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, promises to dazzle as Bollywood luminary Shah Rukh Khan prepares to grace the event. Joining him are fellow stars Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan, and Sidharth Malhotra, ensuring a star-studded spectacle. Ahead of the grand ceremony, Sidharth Malhotra interacted with the press and said he was excited about the cricket tournament. Sidharth said, “I am really excited to perform live, especially for the Women’s Premier League (WPL). This is the second year of the tournament. I see a great lineup of boys (prepping for performance on stage). We are really excited to see the crowd, the venue, the matches and encourage the players here. I am really looking forward to a fun evening.”

Last night, Sidharth attended his dance practice session along with actors Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, and Kartik Aaryan. All of them were practicing dance with zeal and enthusiasm.

The Women's Premier League (WPL) is a Twenty20 cricket franchise league exclusively for women in India. Owned and managed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), it made its debut in March 2023. The inaugural season concluded with Mumbai Indians clinching the coveted title. The league's inception followed BCCI President Sourav Ganguly's announcement in February 2022, outlining intentions to introduce a women's counterpart to the renowned Indian Premier League (IPL), a prominent men's Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in India, effectively replacing the Women's T20 Challenge.
