Siddhant had worked with Ranveer in Gully Boy and shared the screen with Deepika in Gehraiyaan.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are definitely one of the most adored couples in Bollywood at present. Siddhant Chaturvedi had the opportunity to work alongside both the stars. Siddhant had made his Bollywood debut in Gully Boy, sharing the screen with Ranveer. In his most recent film appearance, Siddhant had starred alongside Deepika in Gehraiyaan. The actor recently opened up about the experience of working with the couple.
In conversation with TOI, Siddhant spoke of how both of them had different ways of making their co-stars feel comfortable on sets. When they worked on Gully Boy, Siddhant said that Ranveer used to ‘empower’ the former, making him feel ‘charged up’. Essaying the role of MC Sher in the Zoya Akhtar directorial, that was exactly what Siddhant had needed. His character needed to be motivated, so as to motivate Ranveer’s character, Murad.
On the other hand, when working on Gehraiyaan, Deepika had stood quietly by his side and made him feel like an equal. Calling the actress ‘simple’, Siddhant said that she had made him feel like her friend as well, which he found comforting. In the Shakun Batra directorial the duo played lovers, so he had to feel comfortable enough to romance the actress.
Siddhant said that both the stars had their own unique traits and personalities. “The common factor is that they both are incredibly helpful co-stars”, he added. Both Gully Boy and Gehraiyaan are available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, Siddhant is currently working on Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, a coming of age film which reunites him with his Gehraiyaan co-star Ananya Panday. The film will also star Adarsh Gourav. Siddhant’s next release comes in the form of Phone Bhoot, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter. The horror comedy film, will be released in theatres on October 7.
