Shyam Singha Roy, to hit theatres on December 24, is a crucial film in the career of actor Nani, who has had two back-to-back OTT releases V, Tuck Jagadish that earned moderate responses from audiences. The periodic drama is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and features Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty, Madonna Sebastian as the female leads. The film's power-packed teaser was launched recently across all South Indian languages and audiences were all praise Nani's Bong act as a social reformer who raises his voice against injustice meted out to women.

The film, which'll be the first time that Nani will have a simultaneous release in four languages, definitely has some buzz going for it given it's star cast, canvas and the scale. The latest news to hit the grapevine is that the film's Hindi dubbing rights have been sold to the B4U group for a whopping price of Rs 10 crore, confirms a report in 123Telugu.com. Reportedly, this is the highest ever price fetched by the dubbed version of a film in Nani's career. The fact that Shyam Singha Roy is significantly set in West Bengal should also lend more familiarity to Hindi-speaking audiences.

The first single from the film, Rise of Shyam, sung by Anurag Kulkarni, has already won the appreciation of music lovers. Venkat Boyanapalli of Niharika Entertainments is bankrolling the project that also features Rahul Ravindran, Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma, Abhinav Gomatam and Manish Wadhwa in key roles. Satyadev Janga has written the story for a film cinematographed by Sanu John Varghese and edited by National award-winning technician Navin Nooli. Mickey J Meyer has scored the music.

The project is the second time that Nani and Sai Pallavi will be coming together after Middle Class Abbayi. The director Rahul Sankrityan has helmed two films in the past including The End and Taxiwaala. Shyam Singha Roy, whose streaming rights have been grabbed by Netflix, will clash with Varun Tej, Saiee Manjrekar starrer Ghani at the box office.
