The actress-singer will soon be seen in Salaar with Prabhas and Mega 154 with Chiranjeevi
Shruti Haasan has recently crossed the 20-million mark on Instagram in terms of the number of her followers. Interestingly, the singer-actress is one of the very few celebrities who don’t have an agency managing her social media accounts. The actress, who is gearing up for her role in Salaar, opposite Prabhas, believes that her social media pages should reflect her personality and that cannot happen if an agency manages her account. Shruti is set to play the female lead opposite Chiranjeevi in Mega154. In NBK 107, she will work with Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Talking about her social media milestone of 20 million, Shruti said in a statement, “I’m so thankful to my extended online family who shows me love and supports every single day. I’ve loved my interaction on social media as I get to be myself and share parts of my personality and life that I live on my terms.” From creating posts to interacting with followers – the singer-actress has been doing it all by herself. According to her close aides, she also keeps her account engaging by giving followers a sneak peek into her life. From cooking posts and beauty tips to her furry friend Clara to live music clips and BTS of her shoots – her posts offer a slice of her versatile life. Shruti said that she believes that a variety of content is far more appealing than one-dimensional posts.
In 2018, after years of work in south cinemas and Bollywood, Shruti took a break in her career and went to London. After two years, the actress got back in business. In a recent interview with Bombay Times, the actress said that besides south Indian films, she has been getting offers of OTT content as well. “I want to work across languages and mediums, but I will pick stories that entice me,” she said in that interview.
