Written and directed by Papa Rao Biyyala, Music School revolves around two teachers who've an alternative take on the traditional education paradigm
The third schedule of Ilaiyaraaja's musical, Music School, featuring Sharman Joshi and Shriya Saran in the lead, has entered its third schedule in Hyderabad. The musical, written and directed by Papa Rao Biyyala, is simultaneously being made in Hindi and Telugu and is produced by Yamini Films. Amid several health precautions and protocols, the team behind Music School is pulling all the stops to ensure a safe working environment on sets, while sanitising the studio, vanity vans and the crew practicing social distancing.
Writer-director Papa Rao Biyyala is unfettered by the COVID-19 scenario in the city and is still confident of coming up with a visually, aurally enriching product. The story of Music School revolves around two teachers, Mary D’Cruz and Manoj Shriya, who have an alternative to the traditional education paradigm and make the students learn life lessons through a wide understanding of their roots, culture, music and theatre.
Papa Rao Biyyala in an interaction with a portal had felt that the second schedule was a breeze and that the musical ambience contributed to the joy of the cast and crew. He hopes that the energy of a new year rubs onto the team and they have a safe environment as they commence their third schedule. The instructions are quite clear - no guests will be entertained on the set and only those who're required for the shoot will have to be present. Any new team member has to undergo an antigen test while the other team mumbers have to undergo weekly RT-CPR tests.
Orchestrated by Ilaiyaraaja, Music School has a stellar cast with the likes of Sharman Joshi, Shriya Saran, Shaan, Suhasini Mulay, Prakash Raj, Benjamin Gilani, Srikanth Iyengar, Vinay Varma, Mona Ambegaonkar, Bugs Bhargava, Mangala Bhatt, Phani Eggoti, and Vaquar Shaikh. Kiran Deohans is cranking the camera for the same.
