Shraddha Kapoor feels like an outsider despite being from the filmy family.
Shraddha Kapoor had recently revealed that nobody in the industry wanted to cast her in a movie. That is before Mohit Suri’s Aashiqui 2 happened. Ever since, Shraddha and her male co-star Aditya Roy Kapur became the popular face everyone wanted in their movie.
Shraddha had made her Bollywood debut with Teen Patti. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan too. The film was a huge flop and Shraddha’s second movie Luv Ka The End didn’t work as expected at the Box Office either.
“Even Aditya Chopra believed in me for Luv Ka The End (2011). After Teen Patti (2010), there was nobody to believe in me,” Shraddha told PeepingMoon.
The actress revealed that she gave many auditions too, despite being from a filmy family. She also spoke about being misunderstood because she is a product of nepotism. Shraddha is yesteryear Bollywood actor-villain Shakti Kapoor’s daughter.
Shraddha feels like an outsider nonetheless. This is because nobody took her seriously till Aashiqui 2 happened. “As the film became a blockbuster, people started taking me seriously,” she shared.
The actress, who played the role of Aarohi in Aashiqui 2, was recently offered a role like the movie. Shraddha further reveals that she knows about people who named their daughters Aarohi because they were so impressed with the movie.
She says it is the reason she took up Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar with Ranbir Kapoor – because she wanted to do something different. The actress was last seen in Baaghi 3 which released in 2020. She also had a cameo appearance in Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya, which released in 2022.
