Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called an end to the G20 summit in New Delhi by passing on a ceremonial gavel to Brazil, which will take the bloc's presidency. Soon after this announcement, Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor – who has over 82.7 million Instagram followers, dropped an adorable request to the G20 Summit leaders.

What is Shraddha Kapoor’s request?

On Instagram today, the 36-year-old actress cutely expressed, “G20 mein baat chalao na, Hafte mein ek Sunday badhayein.”

Notably, on August 23, the Delhi government released a notification stating a public holiday in the national capital from September 8 to September 10 in view of the G20 Summit. Soon after this announcement, several states, cities, and union territories chose to declare a holiday in view of the G20 Summit.

Responding to this adorable request, a fan of the actress impressively reminded Shraddha, “G20 se agar ek Sunday badh jaega... tab aapko bhi hafte mein do do post karne padenge Shraduuuu!”

Replying to this, the Tu Jhoothi Main Makaar actress wrote, “Ohhh! Wahan tak socha hi nahi.”

Shraddha Kapoor’s post has been liked by actress Tamannaah Bhatia and lakhs of other Instagram users. On Instagram, Shraddha is the second-most followed Indian actor.

What is the current update on the G20 Summit?

At the moment, a significant number of G20 Summit leaders are stationed in New Delhi. The 2023 G20 summit in New Delhi marks the eighteenth gathering of the G20, scheduled for September 9-10, 2023. This significant event is hosted at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre, located within Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Notably, this summit holds the distinction of being the first G20 meeting ever hosted in India and within the broader South Asian region.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shraddha Kapoor will next reprise her role in the comedy horror sequel Stree 2.
