Stree 2 is likely to go on floors later this year.
In the mid-credit scene in Varun Dhawan's Bhediya we got a glimpse of Rajkummar Rao and Aparshakti Khurana's characters reuniting with Abhishek Banerjee. This confirmed that finally Stree 2 is in the works and the next instalment will go on floors soon. Moreover, people got to see Shraddha Kapoor in the song Thumkeshwari, where she reprised her mysterious role, much to the excitement of the fans. Now, during a group media interaction, the actor confirmed that her forthcoming film is Stree 2.
Talking about her next project after Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Shraddha stated, "Yes, Stree 2 is hopefully going to go on floors very, very soon."
On her stint in the Thumkeshwari song, the actor further said, "I was so shocked at that reaction. Yeah. I was like, 'What is this reaction?' Again, I was overwhelmed; I felt so validated, and I was very humbled. I felt so excited that people are excited about Stree. People couldn't stop containing their excitement after just one song."
Shraddha added, "It was Amar Kaushik's idea: 'You will come into the song. We will show you with that one look of Stree.' This is the first time they've done it in a song, so he's a genius. It's great for Amar to have put it in a song. So, it's nice to see that excitement."
Meanwhile, talking about Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar the Luv Ranjan directorial marks Shraddha's return to the big screen after three long years. The actor has collaborated with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time. Four songs from the films are out now, and fans can't stop raving about the crackling chemistry both actors share with each other.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is set to be a festive release and is hitting the big screens on March 8, 2023, on the occasion of Holi.
