Soodhu Kavvum 2, the upcoming sequel of the 2013 black comedy crime film, starring actor Shiva in the lead role, has wrapped up its shooting, the makers of the film announced on social media on Thursday. The sequel has been titled Soodhu Kavvum II: Naadum Naatu Makkalum.
The 2013 hit film was written and directed by Nalan Kumarasamy in his directorial debut. The film starred Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan, Ramesh Thilak, Karunakaran, and Sanchita Shetty among others. However, the sequel will have a fresh cast.

On the 10th anniversary of the film's release, the makers of Soodhu Kavvum announced that a sequel is in the making with new actors being roped in. Soodhu Kavvum will star actor Shiva in the lead role, along with an ensemble star cast including actors Karunakaran, Harisha, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, MS Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak and Yog Japee, among others.

The makers, on Thursday, announced that the shooting for Soodhu Kavvum two has been wrapped up. The sequel is written and directed by SJ Arjun. He has written it along with T Yogaraja. CV Kumar who backed the 2013 film will return as the producer for the sequel as well, under the banner Thirukumaran Entertainment. With the looks of the film, it is safe to assume that the sequel will follow a new story altogether.
Soodhu Kavvum II: Naadum Naatu Makkalum team
The team of Soodhu Kavvum II: Naadum Naatu Makkalum will feature an entirely different set of faces. While the first part had music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer Dinesh B Krishnan and editor Leo John delivered a quirky Nalan Kumarasamy film.

Meanwhile, Soodhu Kavvum 2 will have music by Edwin Louis Viswanath. It will be shot by Karthik K Thillai and Ignatious Aswin is the editor. Soodhu Kavvum 2 is set to hit big screens in summer 2024. A release date for the film is yet to be announced. The makers shared a reel compiling the behind-the-scene stills from the shooting spot and cast sharing light moments, to say that the film has completed shooting.
